I just stumbled upon the Spanish version of Accidental Blogger ! Bloggers linked here, please check out your own Blog names in Spanish. I am sure one can do this in any language – I just don’t know how. Does this mean that someone reads A.B. in Spanish? I love this.

You can have Google do this for many languages: http://translate.google.com/translate_t
That is how the Spanish version was done- through Google Translate. AltaVista’s Babelfish was one of the first such services on the internet: http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Thanks as always for your technical insights.
I know about “Babelfish” – have used it a few times. I didn’t know that you can translate an entire blog and read it in a language of your choice.
What I am curious about is that since I did not attempt the translation but came across the translated site, does that mean someone else did?

Okay, I was able to use the Google Translate tool to get the Spanish and the German version of A.B. I just linked them on the blog roll for fun.
Will brush up on my German by reading my own posts in that language. Since I will already know what the post means, it will be quick and great practice!

You’re welcome! I had never thought of learning the language through it, but it seems like a great idea. However, it may prove to be better for learning words than for learning grammar. I’m not sure I would trust software to translate grammar correctly, just words.

I am not attempting to learn a language through Google Translation!
I already know a fair amount of German – it is quite rusty now. So the German site will work great for me in jogging my brain.
I won’t attempt the same with Spanish, a language that I do not know.
