A lovely piece of travel writing by Usha Alexander here.  Her article has been included in The Best Travel Writing for 2007 by Travelers’ Tales. Alexander recounts her days as a Peace Corps volunteer in the remote region of the archipelago of Vanuatu.

    Ruchira–I can’t find Usha Alexander in this editor of the Best Travel Writing for 2007.

    I noticed too that the Amazon link goes to the 2007 edition of the Best Travel Writing but when one clicks the “Search Inside” link, it takes you to the 2004 version of the book. That is why you couldn’t find Usha’s article.
