On the front page of ESPN, there is a link to a story about Hillary calling for George Bush to boycott the opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympics. On the front page of CNN, there is a link to a story about Hillary bowling a gutter-ball on a daytime talk show.
Does anyone else find this incredibly disturbing? ESPN’s story relates to legitimate news in both sport and politics. CNN’s story is completely worthless.
(Incidentally, this is the rare opportunity where I have an opportunity to praise Senator Clinton, so here goes: Good call, Senator, on calling for the President to boycott the opening ceremony on account of China’s activities in Sudan, not to mention its activities in, well, China.)
(Of course, this is anything but a rare opportunity for me to continue my crusade against the media, which I continue to find pathetic and a failure in its role as the fourth estate.)

Now that you mention it, Joe, I also find it disturbing, if unsurprising. But I only first viewed ESPN’s site yesterday to track the Memphis/Kansas game for my wife, who had
moneybeer riding on it.There I found even more incredibly disturbing than the CNN lapse you point out a “Boss Button” apparently designed to allow folks at work who are viewing a live game video to toggle the display to a generic spreadsheet.
