what a sad situation and I thought its only in India that votes are bought and sold on the religion exchange.
Wrote something a while back http://pinku-enchantedlife.blogspot.com/2008/09/my-gods-strongest.html is there any way it could be shared with the not so gentleman priest?
Ouch. As a Christian, I have to say “bad idea, Rev.” First, whether Obama won or not, other religions were going to think that their god is bigger and badder than the God of Christianity. Always been that way, and always (a qualified “always”) will. Second, if one is truly a Christian and knows the true nature of God and His purposes, the fact that Obama got elected will neither thwart or slow God’s plan for His children or His Kingdom. Christians need to occupy themselves with the propagation of the Good News of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at least as much as they concern themselves with who occupies the White House. The latter is a Biblical mandate, but the former must not be sacrificed on the fires of American political fervor.
