Once again, I can do no better than post links to a few interesting stories I came across. A terrible political "documentary" by a delusional desi. Can a doctor do this? Apparently yes, according to the AMA's guidelines. Not exactly a Marathon Man. This was bound to happen sooner or later – it is after all, an…

I am currently in New Delhi, staying where I always stay, in my parents' old house where I spent a large part of my youth. At the request of a friend I photographed the inside and outside of my home and posted some of the pictures on Facebook as three albums showing different parts of…

Based on his interviews with people who were involved in the rig's operation "There was an…

Saw this on the evening news recently. I wonder if the cat attacks only when riding the robo-sweeper. Some less widely known info on Christmas animals. Could it be that Vixen and possibly Dancer and Blitzen are the aptly named reindeer of Santa? Rudolph appears to be plain wrong!

Visual computations tend to be generically hard and resource intensive. For example, our state-of-the-art algorithm for yaw detection in flight apparently needs Moore’s Law engorged Intel Cores to do anything useful. And yet mere flies seem to manage the number-crunching just fine…The trick at least in this instance seems to be that flies aren’t using…
