I had a girl friend in Near Eastern studies – a purposefully vague colonial term. Your preference, like Mideast, implies that there is something of the East to the West of the Middle – the Far East West, the Far West East, the West Middle, or the Med East. Longitude has always been vexing until the advent of GPS.LikeLike
