Because it can be safely said the the foreign policy objectives of Democrats and Republicans are very much the same: American hegemony. Even the methods are similar, although some people prefer to see the Democrats as less jingoistic and more willing to make small concessions. A ‘good cop’ to the GOP ‘bad cops’. I don’t buy it.
