I mean, couldn't this guy have been whisked out beforehand or even during the raid in one of the Blackhawk helicopters? Didn't the US intelligence know that Al Qaida sympathizers in the  Pakistani army and government, who were probably harboring bin Laden, were going to punish this guy for embarrassing them?

    It’s going to cost Pakistan $1million for each year of Afridi’s sentence, unless they capitulate and ship him off for (higher studies? fellowship?) a la Cheng to the US.

    He apparently opted to stay in Pakistan after the raid. US intelligence did ask him to come home to Uncle Sam. The poor guy obviously underestimated how bad ISI felt about Abbottabad..
